2010 Spring Update

On April 23 the Partnership for Onondaga Creek will be honored in New York City along with Atlantic States Legal Foundation, the Onondaga Nation and County Executive Joanne Mahoney for their collaborative work to "green" Syracuse's CSO Long Term Control Plan.

By working together the remaining sewage plants (RTFs) were scrapped and Syracuse CSO LTCP was changed.  The RTFs will be replaced by green infrastructure (trees, green roofs, rain barrels, rain gardens and porous pavement) and more sustainable grey infrastructure (underground storage tanks, pipe and sewer separation).
