Nifkin Lounge, Marshall Hall, SUNY-ESF campus in Syracuse

Panel Discussion on Hydrofracking with Don Siegel, Joe Heath, Katherine Nadeau, and others.

Grewen Auditorium, LeMoyne College, Syracuse

This actually is somewhat relevant; the 2007 Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples could give the Onondaga Nation more clout to be able to protect our environment from things like Hydrofracking if it was ratified by the United States.  Join us to learn more!

March 2, 2010

County Legislature, Old County Courthouse (off Columbus Circle)in Downtown Syracuse.

VOTE on Resolution calling on NYS to Ban Hydrofracking Statewide, or give Onondaga County the power to do it themselves.

Please show up, be in the audience with your No Frack and No Fracking Way pins, and support the County Legislature in making this vote!  This was voted on at the last County Legislature meeting and lost by one vote - because the sponsor wasn't in the room. Call your elected officials, encourage them to vote for this resolution (again, or for the first time!).

Brady Faith Center, 404 South Avenue, Syracuse

Bj Adigun, Onondaga County's Administrative Director for Green Techonolgy will present the county's green infrastructure strategy for reducing combined sewer overflow, i.e., keeping storm water run-off out of our sewer system.

Since this "greening" will take the cooperation and the individual efforts of city businesses and residents, it is important that people understand how they can get involved.   Come and ask questions!
